The link is https://skims.com.

Several things work well. The home page asks very little of me. It has one large photo with a short headline and a button, so I always know what to do next. The photos bring all of the color and the rest of the site stays neutral, which keeps the focus on the clothing. The bold, condensed lettering also matches the SKIMS logo, so the site feels like one brand.

The navigation is easy to use. The categories are short and clear, like Bras, Underwear, and Shapewear, and the search box, wishlist, account, and bag icons sit along the top. Under the large photo, each category has a one-line description that matches the brand’s tone. For example, SKIMS calls its underwear “the icons of your top drawer.” That makes browsing feel fun.

Some things do not work as well. On my first visit, a pop-up asks if I want to shop in Canada and covers the photo, and a cookie banner covers the bottom of the screen. The text on the large photo is also hard to read in places, because the headline and the small menu links sit on top of the models.

Overall, SKIMS has a confident design that puts the product first. I would show the photo before the pop-ups and keep the text off the busiest parts of the image.

SKIMS is the website I visit most often, so I looked at its home page more closely than I usually do.
